There are currently seven Shady Oaks Parks in TX. This is the only one we have stayed at. We were coming from an extended stay at Corpus Christi Naval Air Station and heading north for the summer months. We stayed at this park because we wanted to transit Houston before noon the next day - Sunday - before the church traffic got on the roads. It was good planning because we sailed right thru Houston without any traffic problems at all.
Normally we never travel on weekends unless there is a large city to transit. Tuesday and Wednesday are our favorites.
This park was very easy to use and had great management people. Our site was a nice and level pull thru with FHU with CATV.
