We were here during a thanksgiving holiday and it rained for a solid week. We were heading southwest for the winter months.
One of our highlights for this stop was having thanksgiving dinner with the troops in the general mess. Once they found out that Don and I were both retired Navy with each of us having more than 30 years experience working in Naval Aviation they wanted to hear Sea Stories. It was a fun time and we were still there when the place was all cleaned-up and ready to close.
They have some nice aircraft displays but the grounds were so soggy from the rain all we could do is get some pictures from the truck. The SR71 attracts a lot of people but none in the rain.
