When heading north out of FL we often travel on US231. A very nice highway thru rural parts of AL. Our favorite stopping place is Deer Run RV Park. Very nice family owned and maintained RV Park. And, very good fishing.
We have taken time to spend a day or two for some side trips. The Aviation Museum at Fort Rucker is highly recommended. Nice golf course there also.
