Robert’s Mobile Home & RV Resort, St. Petersburg, FL

We wintered at this Resort twice. The first time was very pleasant but the hurricanes ran us north the second time and we ended up at Starke, FL (Not yet posted).

Anyone that winters or has wintered in FL knows it’s loaded with these kinds of parks. This is a 55+ age restricted park with lots of things to do. It has location and as soon as one learns the short-cuts it’s easy to come and go locally.

There is a huge Military RV Park (400+ sites) at MacDill AFB in Tampa but they take reservations a year in advance so we don’t even try to stay there.

During this stay at Robert’s we had a pretty large site at the end of one of the park roads. We were allowed - no charge - to wash out trailer once a month.

Lots of executive golf courses in the area and the park had some sort of tournament a couple of times a month.

When they built the new Gandy bridge they made the old one into a fishing/walking pier - free - with portable bathrooms. Great fishing with ample parking and patrolled by the local police forces.
