Both of the military campgrounds in the Gulfport/Biloxi area are first come first serve. They are seasonal locations so are often full with no prospect of getting a site. During one of our stays in the area we had to find another park. The Manager of the Navy campground recommended Mabry park. So we went out there and parked for a couple of weeks.
Not fancy but off the road and quiet with direct access to the beaches and casinos via the four lane US49.
When hunting for a link I found it to be shut down. On the local yellow pages the park is listed as closed. It had good infra structure - water, sewer and choice of 30 or 50 amps elect - so maybe someone else will get it going again.
