Dixieland RV Park - Waldo, FL

Once when we had a family member in the VA hospital at Gainesville we spent a couple of weeks at this park. It was a straight shot (16 Miles) to the hospital.

At least twice a year this park has a Dixie Music Jamboree on site. Right across the street is the county Farmers Market and Flea Market. This park is situated just off one of Florida’s major north south highways (US301). There are two well publicized local speed traps in the area, one is Waldo and the other is Lawtey.

This RV Park is sort of out in the boonies. Stark is the closest town - about 12 miles north - with a Super Walmart half way.

There are some great fishing locations close by, a local country golf course that still has Fox Squirrels roaming the fairways. The park fishing lake is deep and well stocked with surprisingly large fish to catch.

There is a well established seasonal/year round parking area. I took a picture of a skirted fifth wheel parked there. Don’t often see one skirted.

Our site was new construction FHU pull thru with 50 amps. We got an extra discount for not having finished landscaping.
