North Park CG - Dickinson, ND

This was one of those finds that could best be described as “luck of the draw”. We were planning on staying somewhere in the area so we could visit the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. We saw the CG from the highway and drove on in and talked with the manager. After we had told him we were retired USN families just traveling around the country he offered us a military discount. When he found that we were going to stay at least a week and both had Golden Ages Passes he gave us a 50% discount. With the 15% military discount we would have gotten the seventh day free. With the 50% discount we had to pay for each day we stayed overnight.

At the time we were there the FHU was 50 amps, sewer and water. No CATV or WiFi. We both travel with satellite TV systems and Verizon internet connections were strong there.

We spent 10 days at the CG and went to TRNP three days in a row and then went looking around the local area. When we departed our friends were going on to CA and we were headed for SC.
